Make sure you spend time with your mother today! I know there are some people who lost their mother through death. Celebrate their memories. I can relate to those who have lost a parent and holidays ain’t easy. The only thing you can do is celebrate their memories and thank God for the time you had them.

Just like God said to praise Him with the psaltery & harp, it us time for the band concerts! Tonight is #1 of 2 and it is for incoming 6th graders. (Geez! Seems like it was yesterday when mine were 6th graders!)
Tonight’s concert is mandatory. The concert for parents, family and friends is on May 31, 2012. I will get the time tonight.

Last year in July, I weighed a whopping 275 lbs whuch made me look like I weighed more like 400. To date, I lost 85 lbs!! It has been 10 months. Just 20 more to my 1st goal of 170! Sooooo happy!!!
Since I posted last, more craziness has happened (seems like an every day occurence)! Where we live, the building has mold. Anyone who has asthma KNOWS what being around mold does to you! My mom is probably worried about me because she knows I have asthma (in fact, I KNOW she is!).
We found us a different place and will be moving at the end of the week. Woo hoo!!
Why is it that when one thing goes wrong, EVERYTHING goes wrong?? These rumors are getting the better of me. The woman who beat my door down left today but I got in trouble for it! Wow… Seriously?????
Geez!! I am sick of it, the drama I mean! Something is wrong with this one lady in my building! Sunday night, while the kids were playing basketball, I was accused of yelling at a few of the kids. What I was doing was making the game fair by insisting that the captains play by the REAL rules. One of the captains was so loud that I had to yell over him! Imagine that!! Anyway, the mom in question wasn’t there and her kids lied to her.
Later that night, this same mom and a few other women came to my door and literally beat my door down! She said that she was gonna take me out. Really?? What she doesn’t know is I could take her out if I wanted to but why do it? All it would get me is a prison sentence, right? Anyway, my response to her was “whatever” and “I had no idea what she was talking about.”
People, in general, wonder why I “take” such abuse. The truth is I don’t. I CHOOSE to walk away. Until someone FORCES MY HAND, I will NOT fight. Reason? I’m the one who will get the prison sentence, not them! In fact, my instructors say that “martial arts without philosophy is just a street fight.” Reality is that prople with a “kick your ass” mentality just want street fights where the odds are on their side. It’s much better to walk away. My kids and my daughter’s boyfriend learned a valuable lesson that night because they witnessed the entire ordeal.
Another person who learned something was the six-year old I was babysitting. During the whole ordeal I already mentioned, he witnessed it and the fact that I chose not to fight. This little boy is constantly in trouble. Only time will tell if he follows my example. Also, I’m accused of beating this boy!! Anyone, who knows me, knows I would NEVER do that! This child was crying because his foot was hurting him. Because I was taking care of business that would take only 5 minutes, I wasn’t in the room. However, to his aunt’s credit, she did inform me what was going on and the problem was solved… Or so I thought! The same women who charged me door also accused me of beating him. Didn’t happen though. It goes to show that some people are as ignorant as ignorant can be! The leader of these women doesn’t take very good care of herself and her daughter, who is the same age as my daughter, is pregnant and due in June!! What these women SHOULD do is stop judging me. I can’t help that she apparently didn’t teach her daughter right.
I’m VERY strict with my kids. Neither one have records and neither one have kids of their own. I have occasional problems but they are good kids. I worry about how they will transition to high school but I guess every mom does. They are beginning to prove to me that I can loosen the reigns a little…
Anyway, some people are just plain ignorant!! If this weekend has taught me anything, and it did, I learned (actually was reminded of) that you just have to cover your behind because no one else will…

Seems like no one knows how to mind their flipping business!!! Rumors are ALWAYS going around which destroy relationships!!
Recently, someone started an EVIL rumor about me and my husband. Rumor has it that he is NOW my brother. Seriously??? If that’s the case, where has he been all my life?? I know for SURE that I don’t have any blood brothers. I ONLY have stepbrothers!!! Get real people!!! Shut your stinking rumor-spreading mouths & leave me & my family alone!!! >:-(
first, i must say that i am STUNNED still now around 6 hours later!! right after our communion and during the “toasting” tonight, my stepdad shocked me! first, my stepdad thought it would be nice that everyone at the table would toast someone at the table which EVERYONE thought it was a great idea (part of our new family tradition too). everyone toasted someone at the table as planned. my daughter toasted to happiness in 2012. my son toasted to getting more respect from my husband. my husband toasted me for “putting up with his stupidity.” my stepdad toasted to ME!! thats what shocked me! whats even more shocking is that he honored me for the strength i had, which i didnt think that i did ANYTHING worth honoring, in putting up with all the garbage that i had to endure during 2011! i NEVER expected that!! i was so stunned that i was brought to tears! my stepdad and i have started getting along over the past 3 or 4 months after a rocky start. i am SOOO glad to be able to get along with him irredardless if we live in the same house!
